Mother City Queers are marching to Pretoria MCQP's glamorous annual event is going to the capital this year under the theme Absolut Army Camp
Now that the ground has been prepared the city will again open its arms to welcome a queer army dedicated to create a party zone in the capital organised by the Mother City Queer Projects and the theme: Absolut Army Camp. Organisers promise outfits fit for a monumental Moffie Military March and say there will be Gorgeous Gay Garrisons, Luscious Lesbian Lieutenants, Squadrons of Sexy Sergeants, Combat Queers, Balsakke, Tank Girls, and Soldiers of Fortune - all celebrating together at a Queer Tribal gathering. Commander-in-chief, Andre Voster, explains that the onslaught will be orchestrated by planning for the fact that different music moves different people. The orchestral maneuvers in the dark will be inclusive and will appeal to all tastes, ages, beats, moods and speeds, "no matter how old you are, or how high your heels hold you, therešs something for you," Voster promises recruits. Eight dance floors will be playing hits from last century (1950's to 1990's) to contemporary techno tunes. All the forces favourites. The assault on the capital city will naturally involve cunning strategies, like the strict über-designed fabulosity formula that has made all their previous style attacks in the past so successful. The Mother City this year will also see a queer party extravaganza at the Nico Theatre Centre on Sat 2 December under the theme The Toy Box.
