Eastern Cape Province
Brief introduction.
astern Cape Province officially marks the border between the Western Cape's Mediteranean climate with it's winter rain and summer dryness, and the region of summer rain and winter dryness. The region consequantly has erratic rainfall patterns and tends to have precipitation all year round.
The Garden Route that starts in Cape Town and runs all the way up the coast towards the north coast officially ends here and the Western Cape's dramatic mountain ranges that characterise most of the coast line also end here and temperatures are also higher now. The African savannahs that characterise the bulk of the southern African landscape start here. The principal places of interest for the gay tourist are coastal cities of Port Elizabeth and East London.
